On December 6, 2019, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it is implementing an electronic registration system to conduct the lottery associated with cap-subject H-1B petitions.

Under the new system, employers must submit an initial registration containing information about their company and each potential H-1B beneficiary between March 1, 2020 and March 20, 2020.

The registration fee is $10.00 per beneficiary.

USCIS will then perform a random selection on the registration submissions and notify employers with selected cases by March 31, 2020. Employers will then have at least 90 days to submit complete H-1B petitions on behalf of selected beneficiaries.

2019년 12월 6일, 이민국에서는 H-1B 추첨을 위한 전자 등록 시스템을 도입한다고 발표하였습니다. 

이 새로운 시스템을 따르면, H-1B고용주들은 2020년 3월1일부터 2020년 3월 20일 기간 사이에 미리 H-1B 신청자들을 이민국 온라인에 사전등록을 해야만 합니다. 

등록 비용은 신청자 당 $10 입니다. 

이민국은 이 시스템에 등록 된 지원자에 한해서 추첨을 진행하고, 3월 31일에 선별된 케이스들만 고용주에게 안내한다 발표하였습니다. 그 후, 선별된 케이스에 대한 H-1B 청원서를 제출하는데 90일에 기간이 있습니다.
