AI는 R&B를 아래처럼 설명을 하고 있다.

R&B는 리듬 앤 블루스(Rhythm and Blues)의 약자로, 1940년대 후반 미국 내 아프리카계 미국인들 사이에서 시작된 대중음악 장르이며 흑인 음악의 핵심 장르 중 하나로 평가받고있다 

R&B는 블루스의 감성적인 멜로디에 재즈나 가스펠의 리듬감이 결합된 음악을 뜻한다.

R&B는 보컬의 기교와 풍부한 감정 표현이 중요하며, 현대에 와서는 힙합, 팝과 결합된 컨템퍼러리 R&B 형태로 널리 사랑받고 있다.

R&B의 특징은 블루스의 애환이 담긴 선율에 보컬의 가창력과 섬세한 감정 표현(애드립)을 중시하고 있다.

나는 흑인들의 애환이 담긴 선율과 함께 감정을 토해내는 듯한 절규에 가까운 보칼의 호소력에 푹 빠져서 R&B 장르의 음악들을 즐겨 듣고 있다.

지난주에 내가 만든 가사로 SUNO에서 Blues 노래를 만들어서 몇번을 들으보니 절규하듯이 토해내는 보칼의 목소리에 의미있는 노래 가사가 선율과 함께 흐르니 들을 수록 슬픈 느낌이 든다.

가사를 모두 소화 하다 보니 다소 노래가 길어진 듯 하기도 하지만 한편으론 노인들의 기쁨과 슬픔을 토해내듯 대변하는 노래가 된 듯 한 느낌이 들기도 한다.

분위기는 이러이러하게, 장르는 Blues, 가수는 허스키한 목소리에 호소력있는 노래를 해야하고 애드립으로는 색소폰 연주 등등 까다롭게 주문을 한 결과 Creat 된 15여곡중에 한곡이 그런대로 마음에 드는 노래가 나온 듯 하다.

처음엔 그저 그런 노래라는 느낌이 들지라도 다섯번만 들으면 푹빠질 그런 노래가 아닐까 하는 생각이 들기도 한다.
