Summary
This position is primarily responsible to lead administrative and operational support to the Freight Forwarding office in Atlanta, GA . Incumbent must be an expert in all Human Resources matters including Accounting, Payroll, General Reporting & Analytics and Compliances.
What You'll Be Doing
• Audit and process all benefit invoices (medical, dental, vision, ancillary, COBRA, FSA and other voluntary plans) for headquarters.
• Serve as main point of contact for all HQ benefit inquiries and issues.
• Maintain and update the HRIS for all benefit changes.
• Assist with annual benefit renewals and open enrollment.
• Conduct New employee benefits orientation and review and explain benefits to new hires.
• Work with insurance carriers on file-feed issues between HRIS & carrier systems.
• Facilitate job description review process; ensure updates are applied and confirmed by hiring manager.
• Conduct research on positions during compensation study process.
• Review leaves of absence requests with supervisor and ensure all appropriate documentation is received for HR review.
• Provide HQ employees with all applicable federal and/or state documents related to leave request (FMLA, CFRA, Disability).
• Ensure appropriate documentation is received before employee returns to work; follow-up with supervisor to ensure documentation is appropriate for employee to return to work.
• Ensuring customer invoicing is done accurately and completely in timely manner.
• Ensuring all Billing Risk Remediation tasks are done and documented weekly basis.
• Compare both vendor and customer costs with contract rates and monthly budgets
• Verifying, adding, and maintaining contract labor rates
• Verifies, calculates and posts employee time and attendance data and earnings including base pay, overtime, shift differential and other incentives.
• Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
• Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.
• Processes individual salary/wage or other changes affecting employee payroll status including new hires, transfers, terminations, paid or unpaid leaves of absence, and related actions.
• Inputs vacation and sick pay accruals.
• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
What We Need
- Bachelor's Degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Supervisory experience required
- 4 -5 + years of HR & Accounting experience
