FULL TIME ACTIVE DUTY BENEFITS (현역군인) Serve full-time with specialized job training while living on or near an Army base.
계약기간 : 직업에 따라 다르게 적용되지만 최소 2년부터 시작.
급여 : 기본급(Basic pay)과 의식주와 관련된 수당(BAH, BAS, COLA, Clothing Allowance). 수당은 지역과 가족 여부에 따라 차등 지급됨
관련업무 : 150여 개의 직업. 전투관련 직업뿐 아니라 예술, 과학, 정보, 항공, 기술, 법률 의료 등에 관련된 다양한 직업 선택 가능.
혜택 : 당사자와 직계가족의 100% 무료 의료보험. 매 해 30일 유급 휴가. 대학 또는 직업 교육 학비 지원, VA를 통한 대출 등

PART TIME ARMY RESERVE DUTY BENEFITS (예비군) Serve part-time while keeping your civilian job or pursuing an education.
매달 한번의 2틀(토,일) 주말 훈련과 매해 2주의 훈련이 실행되는 파트 타임 군인으로 이에 상응하는 월급이 지급되며 120여 개의 직업중 선택할수 있습니다. 직업교육에 따른 Certification 을 받을수 있어서 민간 직업과 연계할수 있습니다. GI Bill, ROTC Scholarship, Tuition Assistance Program 등의 여러 학비 혜택을 받을수 있으며 본인과 가족이 저렴한 건강보험에 가입할수 있는 자격을 갖게됩니다. 참고로 Reserve status 로 한국이나 미국에 국무원 (GS or Contractor Jobs) 신청도 가능하며 배우자분도 신청 가능힙니다. 그리고 저처럼 Active Guard Reserve (AGR) 신청도 가능 합니다. 또한 학비를 안쓰실경우 직계가족에게 인계 또한 가능합니다.
