Love and hate
Here are my first attempt to translate and thoughts on what a monk said in nahyun kim's earlier story.
"Do not love; easy to leave
Do not hate; easy to meet."

Love is sweet, but leaving is paiful.
So, do not fall in love, unless your love is true.
Hating is painful, and meeting is easy.
So, do not hate; if you do, you'll end up hating everyone.

Love and hate both are futile and useless;
they are only floating and fleeting emotional pieces of clouds.

Love and hate are so close .... almost the same(indifference is the opposite of love).
Both are survival instincts we need; love for
union and survival of the species, hate(fear) to
run away from the tigers. So we need the correct and
accurate judgement on who are our enemies or friends, unless we have the capacities for tranforming the enemies to our friends.
