Harm, threat, challenge
We are writing to one another through electricity instantly with the help of computers.
Without software and electricity, the computers are dead. And if you smash your computers
with a sledge hammer, the software and electricity in the computer vanish in thin air.
The hardware power of computers are limited depending on technologies used. However,
the software power is unlimited, can be made better, faster than speed of light, independent
of matter. It only has to be stored in hardware. Software and hardware are related that close
, and yet they are independent. This is one scientific example for the power of "ability to
fuse concreteness and abstractness, feeling and reasoning, ...,i.e., dichotomies." as I had written as #8, in "10 characteristics of mental health" 2012/12/9.
This dichotomy includes oriental concepts of EUM-YANG, + and -, man and woman, night
and day.
Would you add more examples of dichotomies?
