Do you want to be thinner?
I just read "Does God want you to be thin?" - Time Magazine, June 11, 2012.
Rick Warren who sold 32 million hardback copies of his famous
"Purpose driven life" (2nd best seller after the bible), started
"Daniel Plan". It reduced a collective 26,000 lbs with 15,000 members. Drs. Daniel Amen and Mark Hyman are in the Plan. They appeared on PBS TV many times, you may remember. I read their books - all on mental and physical health problems. One picture in Time shows 9 thinner real people. One black woman, Chloe went from 270 lbs to 135 lbs!
I thought many of us would love to take advantage of this kind of realistic proven solutions in stead of wasting our short remaining lives on "tak-sang-gong-ron; 탁상 공론,in Korean".

"To lose weight, eating less is far more important than exercising" - New York Times Upshot Section has collections of many meta studies. One item; 30 minutes of jogging and swimming laps consumes about 350 calories, which you get back with drinking two 16 oz sodas per day.
But of course, exercises have many other benefits beyond consuming excess calories; producing happy hormones such as dopamine, endorphin,...BDNF for brain build up regardless of ages, etc. We do not die without food for about 30 days, with water only. But without almost daily exercises, we go to our graves a lot sooner with many pains all the time in old ages.
Secret for loving exercises? Choose one with lots of fun and laughs like ping pong(again!). We knew this when we were children, didn't we? We forgot this simple truth as we got older, with many external pressures.

I lost over 65 lbs. since the beginning of 2014. I gave up soda and sweet tea. ... walking over 6 miles a day. I look at food as a means to get me through a walk. As a 41 year old, I feel a thousand times better than I ever did in my 20s or 30s. If I can do it, anyone can.

The simple fact is that our bodies are incredibly efficient, and we can consume all the calories we need for a day in a matter of minutes. The main problem is overeating - a simple recognition that we need very little food, but have access to endless.
