Fabric & Textile Assistant

We are currently looking for an Fabric & Textile Assistant/Coordinator to help manage our Fabric & Textile inventory internally.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and organize textile and fabric inventory and log of all fabric on hand.
• Daily interaction with pattern makers, sample sewers, and sample cutters.
• Organize and maintain a fabric master binder each season
• Maintain bulk color/fabric master for production of samples
• Create/manage the fabric Line sheet with all fabric details, colors, and quantity on hand
• The Fabric Coordinator will work closely with Design, Product Development & Production, and Merchandising departments for their fabric needs
• Order fabrics and materials needed instructed by designers or sample room manager.
• Keep accurate records of when materials are ordered and received. Maintain accurate fabric inventories and cycle count as needed.

Requirements

• 1+ experience as a Fabric or Textile Assistant/Coordinator
• Must have knowledge of fabric types, textures, materials and Fabric/ Textile Business
• Self-starter with ability to adapt to any environment
• Good Math skills
• Must be a great team player.
• Must be flexible and be able to multi-task.
• Great work ethic and attitude.
