Dispatcher responsibilities

· Proper execution of dispatch and planning functions, including the start of day and end of day processes, ensuring all orders are assigned for on-time service and all available capacity is properly utilized

· Responsible to track and trace drivers from the beginning of their work assignment until completion, keeping dispatch board updated on driver routes, ETA and any delays

· Interact with Steamship Line and terminals for any problems related to the shipment(s) and to verify export bookings or empty container returns

· Knowledge of LA/LB ports for efficient and effective planning for dual transactions on high volume and driver productivity

· Check yard reports and ensure containers are terminated on or before last free day

· Interact with another dispatcher (s) and office staffs

· Report or communicate with management if emergency on night operation

· Assign office work at night shift from management

Qualification;

· High school diploma/GED+ required, preferred college degree

· Strong knowledge of LA/LB Ports operation/ trucking operations / dispatch experience: 2+ years

· Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations, Responsibility

· Strong written and oral communication skills are essential

· Computer skills: Microsoft Office, E-mail, Inbound/outbound calling service skills

· able to lift 35lbs+ (if needs)

· Preferred Spanish or Korean

Working Hours:

Day time Shift: Monday to Friday 0500 am ~ 1530 pm

Nighttime Shift: Monday to Friday 1700 pm ~ 0330 pm

We are a fast-growing company in logistics industry and now are looking for an experienced, efficient and self-motivated In/out states transportation, Port/Drayage Dispatcher. Must have at least 2+ years’ experience in Port/Drayage/logistics/ trucking industry and good qualifications.

( Day time Dispatcher 1, Nighttime Dispatcher 1)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 to $24.00 /hour
