Creativity is just connecting
1. "Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did
something, they feel a little guilty because they really didn't do it. They just saw
something. It seemed obvious after a while. That's because they were able to connect
experiences they've had and synthesize new things." - Steve Jobs.
2. " Secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources." - Einstein.
3. " The highest form of creativity is to sculpt your own life." - 2001/4/2 note.
Analysis and synthesis are two tools we use to create something new or better.
The 9/11 disaster in New York was said happened with more than enough dots, with
minute analysis into each dot, but without enough synthesis of those dots, according
the guy in charge under Condolesa Rice.
All creative results seem to stand on the shoulders of previous dots of creativity. Einstein
and Steve Jobs seemed to know it. We need all the previous wisdom to sculpt our own
life in the highest form of creativity, I think.
