Sánchez apela a la “empatía” para Cataluña y esquiva la “hipótesis” de los indultos - El Nuevo País y Zeta

Hi guys, this is KICPC.

Today, we’re going to start with this picture.

There are two people in this picture.

Behind them, I can see two national flags.

Right! The flag on the left side is Canadian flag, and the other one

is Spanish flag.

Now, we know who they are!

The man on the left side is Pedro Sánchez, Spanish Prime Minister.

The other man on the right side is Justin Trudeau, Canadian Prime Minister.

So, today we are going to talk about relationship between Canada and Spain and the certification of the Spanish embassy in Canada.

The main Spanish embassy in Canada is located in Ottawa, the

capital city. Elsewhere there are 7 consulates in various cities

including Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto.

Canadians can currently enter Spain with only their passports

for periods of up to 90 days.

However, for working, studying or living,

it is necessary to obtain a relevant visa from a Spanish embassy

or consulate.

Therefore, various documents will be needed to issue a Spanish visa.

However, documents issued in Canada cannot be recognized directly in Spain.

The important thing is that Spain is a member of the Apostille,

but Canada is not a member of the Apostille,

so it has to go through the embassy certification process.

<Procedure of Certification of the Spanish Embassy in Canada>

Step1. You need to issue the necessary documents in Canada.

The required documents will depend on what you should be issued.

Step2. Translate the issued documents into Spanish.

The issued documents should be translated into the language of the country of submission.

Therefore, you will have to translate the documents issued in English

into Spanish.

Step3. Your translated documents have to be notarized by a lawyer.

If you translated the documents into Spanish, you would have to get a

translation notarization.

You need to be certified that the original and the translation are match.

Step4. Your documents must be confirmed by the Foreign Ministry in Canada.

The notarized documents must be certified by the Foreign Ministry.

You have to go through this step to get an embassy certification.

Step5. The documents confirmed by the Foreign Ministry can be certified by the Spanish Embassy in Canada.

The embassy-certified documents become valid public documents in Spain!
