[An Essay from My Heart]

<Spring Comes Without Fail>

As I sit beneath the branches of a forsythia and watch a crocus lift its head into the sunlight, I am reminded anew of how faithful nature is. No one teaches it, no one urges it on, yet when the time comes, that small flower unfailingly sends up its shot. In the fragile gesture of pushing through frozen ground lies a quiet courage and an astonishing order. The earth, silent all through the winter, thus keeps its promise—softly, yet unmistakably.

The cold winter made our shoulders hunch, but spring invites us to straighten our backs once more. When warm sunlight brushes our faces and a gentle breeze stirs our hair, we feel with our whole being that the season has changed. That breeze is not merely moving air; it is a tender proclamation ending a long silence and announcing a new beginning. Hearts that had shrunk in the icy air slowly loosen, gathering the courage to step out into the world again.

In the sky, unnamed birds fly freely and sing, while in the flowerbeds blossoms of every color compete to bloom. A single sprout, a tender leaf, seems to signal to another, and life awakens life as it expands. As though guided by an unseen conductor, nature forms its harmony with order and freedom intertwined. Within that harmony, we realize that we are part of nature, and that we, too, stand within the great current of its eternal cycle.

Spring is not merely a change in temperature. It is the language of hope. It demonstrates, through its very presence, that however long the winter, it must end; however deep the cold, warmth will follow. And so, spring whispers to us: “Though you may be withdrawn now, your season will surely come.” Just as the crocus presses upward through the soil, our dreams and resolutions are quietly preparing themselves.

Once more I look up at the sky beneath the forsythia. The air is clear and transparent, clouds drift lightly, and warm sunlight gently settles upon the earth. Without speaking a word, nature offers us comfort. Spring approaches in silence and lights a lamp within our hearts. That is why the season—spring above all—must surely be the season of hope. ***
